Trevoulter Mr Darcy is a five year old Hanoverian x Welsh gelding who is a good doer. Being fed NAF Optimum balancer and a scoop of Hi Fi he has plenty of energy and looks well. I’m in no doubt the balancer is giving him all the nutrients he needs to work and also develop muscle. He used to be a bit girthy but this has gone since feeding Optimum. No coat products were used, just a bath and groom!
NAF Five Star Optimum Balancer makes the world of difference to our ponies keeping them healthy throughout the year and making sure they get all the nutrients they need. My daughter Macy loves her showjumping and it keeps our ponies in perfect condition.
Since being fed NAF GastriAid and Five Star Optimum Balancer, I have found Morph to be less stressed when he is being ridden and he is now the favourite escort for the younger horses when we’re hacking. Feeding him Optimum allows me to know that he is receving all of the correct nutrients he needs to be healthy. Five Star Respirator Boost is also an essential for Morph during the winter months.
NAF Five Star Optimum Concentrated Feed Balancer is great all round supplement that's easy to feed. It contains great ingredients which give all the health benefits that normally come in several supplements. Optimum covers all bases for me and Shaunie looks fabulous on it, it was such an easy choice.
"Jo suggested I swap Excel's feed balancer to the NAF Optimum Balancer. Despite Excel being stabled throughout winter he looks and feels better than ever. Thanks NAF."
"I started my pony Aélia on Optimum balancer early 2018 after we found out she had a thoracic lordosis causing her to go lame over a period of 5 months. I wanted a product to help her keep the muscular weight on whilst we strengthened her topline and it was suggested that I try Optimum. I’m really pleased that I did as it helped with her overall body condition throughout her recovery, the winter months and the following competing season, not to mention that it has added a real shine to her coat. Thank you NAF! Here’s a picture of Aélia and I at the French pony jumping nationals. We also use the MuckOff foam which is ace for white ponies!"
"I started using Optimum Balancer on a recommendation. My horses coats are soft and shiny, they're glowing! My older horse (the Dun) is 16 yrs old and has a 'look at me', I feel great aurora about him. I also use your Superflex for my Dun and he's never felt better. I started using Optimim Balancer on a recomendation from your Rep. At first I was a little skeptial, but was I wrong! My horses coats are dander free, soft and shiny, they're glowing. My older horse (the picture I have attached of the Dun, he's 16 yrs old) has a look at me, I feel great auora about him with no fizzyness at all. We've just had a field change where I'd normally have to add a gut balancer but haven't had to this time! Thank you so much for the push to give it a try, I won't be going back to what I was using beforehand. I also use your Superflex for my Dun and hes never felt better."
This is Douglas winning the Irish Draft Class at Heathfield agricultural show. As you can see the NAF Plait It Up spray works wonders and obviously the Optimum balancer is super. Claire Limburn
Phoenix is holding his weight now because the Magic has taken the edge off him stressing which causes him to drop weight quickly. He has calmed down in some of his mannerisms being on the calmer and the Five Star Optimum has really improved his overall body condition and coat shine. Angela & Phoenix:
"I have been using NAF products and supplements for over twelve years. NAF offer a complete range of products from supplements to horse care. Our horses come first and need to perform at their best, that's why I choose, trust and rely on NAF. Five Star Optimum Balancer is the first thing that is put into the feed bowls in the morning. It is great to know that the horses are getting all their essential vitamins and maximising the nutritional value of their feeds, as well as optimising the health and efficiency of the digestive system. Since starting my horses on Optimum I have noticed how well they look in their coats and are maintaining condition better whilst in competition work. James Sommerville. I only feed Alice unmolassed, high fibre feeds as starchy feeds make her too hot. Alice is 6 years old and working at medium level, over the winter I felt that towards the end of our schooling sessions she was starting to feel a little flat and thought perhaps her basic feed was not providing her with the energy levels she required for her level of work. NAF suggested I try Optimum, this provides essential vitamins and minerals as well as helping the horse to digest the fibre we feed more effectively. I have been feeding Alice Optimum for eight weeks now and I am very happy with the results. She is now able to maintain her energy levels throughout a whole schooling session and her coat is beautiful. I also feed Electro Salts after a hard work out and find this really helps her to stay on top form. Teal Anthoney Photo credit to: Malcolm Snelgrove Photography
As a mounted games rider, I need to ensure that my ponies are fed the best to perform at top level of their sport. My best pony Sally (aged 26) has never felt or looked so good. With lots of competing, training and travelling involved both in the UK and abroad her condition, appearance and attitude remains perfect. I highly recommend NAF Five Star Optimum Feed Balancer. Sam Clements (Yorkshire based mounted games rider)
My horse Triumph has been fed Optimum since September, we bought the first batch after Amy (my daughter) was part of the winning Riding Test Team at the British Riding Club Champs at Lincoln which was very kindly sponsored by NAF. The first picture is of Triumph at her first dressage test as a very weedy 5 year old in May 2013, and the second is of her at Bury Farm in late October 2014 when she won the Junior Open Dressage to Music. I think it's a good example of what correct feed and work can do for a horse!! The 16.1hh recently-broken horse we bought in Dec 2012 is now a strapping 17hh plus and still growing!! As well as doing them good, the horses love Optimum and search through their chop looking for the pellets, the only difficulty is preventing the cats from eating it before we can get the bowls into the horses' stables! Nicky Small
I was recommended Optimum Feed Balancer last year for a horse who would always struggle to keep condition on over the winter, this in turn meant he would start the season looking poor so he was already at a disadvantage. Reluctant to change his feed drastically as he is very sensitive and sharp, I tried Optimum and the results have been outstanding. He has started this season looking much stronger, is carrying more weight and his coat is gleaming! Thank you so much everyone at NAF for your great advice! My ex- racehorse Rio, after a bad winter and constant battle with digestive discomfort was in poor condition. The difference even after day one of being fed Optimum was noticeable, she seemed to have a healthier appetite and she put on condition within the first week. Here she is before, and after just eight weeks. Emily Setchell.
"Meet Pinocchio, now at the tender age of 19 thanks to Superflex and Optimum he is still loving his jumping! 10miles all 50 jumps completed and all in an hour and a half. Not bad for an old man."
Sam Richards
All of my ponies are fed Five Star Optimum Balancer, that's all they get, they are looking so shiny and performing fantastically! Susan Skeggs. With thanks to Lucy Mason photography and Mark Smith for images.
I feed Optimum Balancer to all the horses in my care to ensure they get the most out of their feed by optimising their digestion. This is reflected in their coats, which have all looked fantastic this year! Emily Baldwin
This is my 27 year old mare Chloe, we both had a crashing fall 18 months ago where I badly broke both my wrists and we thought we might lose her. Now we are going from strength to strength, she is thriving and looks and feels fantastic with the help of Optimum Balancer. The balancer helps keep her coat looking fab and her joints supple - her bascule may not be perfect anymore but she can still tuck her feet up! Naomi Stevens
I started feeding Optimum Balancer to Cambridge, my three year old gelding, as I changed yards and had less grazing, hence he needed a bit more feed. Optimum Balancer allows me to make sure he's getting what he needs but means I don't have to pump loads of food in and have him bouncing off the walls... winner! I have enclosed a couple of images of my beautifully shiny boy since feeding Optimum, almost too beautiful to clip! Joanne Ward
We have been using NAF products for over a year now and this last season has been our most successful to date. To keep their diets balanced and their coats gleaming, every horse on our yard has Five Star Optimum Balancer included in their feed. We have found that the horses have held their condition excellently, even during the busiest times of the season. With thanks to NAF, the horses are all looking great! Alice Barnes
